Some records have her living to 154 and some to 147.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reportedly, she died at the age of 149 and bore her twelfth and \u00a0last child at the age of 65. A native of Germany, she was living in Maury County, Tennessee, at the time of her death in 1835.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Born in the late 1600 she lived through three centuries, and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">some important dates in history. After living in Virginia and South Carolina for most of her life she moved to Maury County at the age of 122. \u00a0She had become nearly blind at 120 years of age, but her vision slowly improved to back to normal for the last ten years of her life according to family records.<\/p>\n<p>Her great grandson, described her as &#8220;tall and thin with prominent features and deep set eyes&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/offbeattenn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/0411W-.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-740\" src=\"http:\/\/offbeattenn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/0411W-.jpg\" alt=\"0411W-\" width=\"539\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/offbeattenn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/0411W-.jpg 539w, https:\/\/offbeattenn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/0411W--300x101.jpg 300w, https:\/\/offbeattenn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/0411W--262x88.jpg 262w, https:\/\/offbeattenn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/0411W--524x177.jpg 524w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Legend says that Betsy Trantham,\u00a0is burled in the Goshen Methodist Church Cemetery in\u00a0Maury County.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabeth Eppinger Trantham was reported to live to the age of 150\u00a0plus or minus a few years.
